The airport embraces soft, sustainable and functional mobility with a cycle path (‘Pedalaria’) connecting it to the town of Fiumicino.
to the path is for both pedestrians and cyclists, and travels from T3 for 3.5 kilometres before joining the cycle path in Fiumicino.  Pedalaria is an opportunity to enjoy the local countryside and the archaeological sites around the airport, including the Imperial Harbours of Claudius and Trajan.

Pedalaria connects the airport with the other cycle paths in the Municipality of Fiumicino:

- Fiumicino Centro and Lungomare

- Focene

- Parco Leonardo train station

- Route to the archaeological area of the Imperial Harbours of Claudius and Trajan
